Wreck Beach

Canada's largest and most famous clothing-optional beach — over 7 km of coastline below the cliffs of UBC, with a long-standing naturist culture.

Family-friendly LGBTQ+ friendly $

Wreck Beach is Canada's most iconic naturist beach: over seven kilometres of Pacific coast below the cliffs of the University of British Columbia campus, accessed via a long flight of stairs. The naturist tradition here dates to the 1970s and the beach has its own active preservation society. Atmosphere is mixed but distinctly community-driven; vendors sell food and drinks during the season. Bring everything you need — there are no permanent facilities at sea level.
