Capocotta
Rome's wild beach — a protected stretch of dune-backed coast with a long-established naturist section, half an hour by train from the city.
Family-friendly LGBTQ+ friendly $
Capocotta is Rome's wild beach: a long, undeveloped, dune-backed stretch of coast within a protected natural area. The clothing-optional section, called Buco di Bonaiuto, has been in use by Roman naturists since the 1970s. Accessible from Rome by train and bus to Lido di Castel Porziano. Facilities are minimal — bring everything you need — but the setting is spectacular for a beach so close to a major capital.
